This post is long overdue... In April I embarked on a 2 week trip along the trans-siberian railway, starting in Beijing and eventually ending in Moscow (with stops in Ulan Bator in Mangolia, and Lake Baikal, Irkutsk, and Ekaterinburg in Russia). Much of the time was spent on the train watching a landscape go by that seemed very desolate at times, lush and vibrant at other times, and always fascinating; definitely a journey worth taking. Thank you to my travel companions; Mike, Holly, and my wife Jen.
